Tungsten Triselenide, WSe3
Tungsten Triselenide, WSe3, is produced by the addition of acids to the reddish-brown solution obtained by passing in hydrogen selenide to a solution of sodium acid tungstate. The precipitate, after drying, is glossy black. On heating, it yields selenium and tungsten diselenide. It dissolves readily in alkalies.
