Tungsten Chloro-arsenide, W2AsCl9

Tungsten Chloro-arsenide, W2AsCl9, is obtained by heating a mixture of tungsten hexachloride and liquid hydrogen arsenide in a sealed tube at 60° to 75° C. The substance forms bluish-black, hygroscopic crystals, resembling the hexachloride. It is readily decomposed by water, acids, and alkalies.
