Rubidium Tungstates

The pentatungstate, Rb₂O.5WO₃, prepared by fusing together rubidium oxide (1 part) and tungstic oxide (3 to 3-5 parts), yields glistening rectangular leaflets. The octatungstate, Rb₂O.8WO₃, has also been obtained.
