Neodymium Tungstate

Neodymium Tungstate is formed as a gelatinous precipitate on the addition of neodymium chloride to a solution of sodium tungstate. Its colour, a very pale rose, changes on ignition to lavender. Its solubility in water decreases as the temperature rises.

Complex neodymitungstates, of composition 3(NH₄)₂O.Nd₂O₃.16WO₃.20H₂O and 6BaO.Nd₂O₃.16WO₃.17H₂O, have been prepared.
