Neodymium Tungstate
Neodymium Tungstate is formed as a gelatinous precipitate on the addition of neodymium chloride to a solution of sodium tungstate. Its colour, a very pale rose, changes on ignition to lavender. Its solubility in water decreases as the temperature rises.
Complex neodymitungstates, of composition 3(NH4)2O.Nd2O3.16WO3.20H2O and 6BaO.Nd2O3.16WO3.17H2O, have been prepared. |
