Cadmium Metatungstate, CdW4O13
Cadmium Metatungstate, CdW4O13.10H2O, is formed by the addition of barium metatungstate to a solution of cadmium sulphate. It yields lustrous octahedral crystals with axial ratio a:c = 1:0.9936. It is stable in the air, and on heating at 100° to 110° C. it loses 7H2O, the remaining water only being expelled at a much higher temperature.
